A new documentary on Jackie Chan, sponsored by Homart Group, titled 「Dragon Footprints」, has won the Best Documentary Award for charity mission at the 7th International Chinese Film Festival (ICFF) in Sydney.
The Award was presented by The Hon Geoff Lee, MP at the ICFF opening ceremony. More than 500 guests, including prominent leaders from the film and entertainment industry, attended the event.
The documentary focuses on Chans life story, as well as his dreams and passion for overcoming challenges on the road to success.
Life is just like a movie! This is reflected in different aspects of life. To me, the most touching movie is sincere and heartfelt, he told the participants in a video message.
Chan also thanked the ICFF Committee for the Award in recognition of the documentary and his contribution to the film industry and charitable causes.
While Chan is busy with his career, he still finds time to give back to society – the Build a School for a Dollar project – is only one of his charity missions.
Chan always manages to stay positive, diligent, charitable, and grateful. He says his greatest feat is always making an effort to deliver maximum positive energy to the world. Chan hopes for his documentary is to share the joy of charity.
Australian football star Tim Cahill, who also appears in the documentary commented, This is a documentary about our connection between Australia and Asia; him as a performer, me as a sportsman, but more importantly him sharing his story through his gallery in Shanghai…, Cahill said, It is a massive educational piece for me to have this connection and relationship with someone who is so powerful not only in China but globally.
