The conference, guided by the Hainan Provincial Health Commission and the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, and hosted by the Lecheng Administration and the Hainan Health Industry Research Institute, brought together authoritative organizations and leading enterprises in the fields of global innovative drugs, medical devices, special medical foods, health supplements, and life sciences. It is the most high-profile international health industry event in the Hainan Free Trade Port ahead of its island-wide customs closure.
In the "Global Special Medical Food and Health Supplement Sharing" session, a highlight of the conference, Homart Group founder and CEO Ms. Lynn Yeh was invited as the representative for Australian enterprises to deliver a keynote speech. She systematically introduced the development history, research capabilities, regulatory systems, and global influence of the Australian healthcare industry, while showcasing Homart’s 34 years of innovative achievements to domestic and international experts.
In her speech, Ms. Yeh provided an in-depth analysis of the three development stages of the Australian healthcare industry since the early 20th century—from basic nutritional supplementation to the rise of herbal and functional nutrition, and eventually to Australia’s current status as a major global exporter of high-standard health products. She noted that Australia possesses a deep foundation in life sciences and biomedicine, with 14 Nobel laureates in relevant fields providing long-term momentum for the industry. According to industry forecasts, the Australian health and nutrition market will exceed 9.5 billion AUD by 2025, maintaining its robust global influence.
At this Boao Lecheng conference, Homart showcased several new products, including star products from Thompson’s such as high-strength Milk Thistle 48000 and the Brightening Capsules; SpringLeaf’s high-concentration Fish Oil + Vitamin D and the Seven-in-One Eye Care Capsules; the premium functional nutrition range from TopLife; and the New Zealand-made pet nutrition series from PETMIMA (which has already obtained 8 major import approvals from the Ministry of Agriculture). Notably, SpringLeaf has secured 5 overseas "Blue Hat" registrations from China's National Medical Products Administration, demonstrating Homart’s persistence and strong standing within the Chinese regulatory system.
During the event, Ms. Yeh was interviewed by several authoritative media outlets, including CCTV, Hainan Television, and China News Service, discussing the global competitiveness of the Australian health industry, support for the Lecheng "pioneering" policies, and the international significance of the Hainan Free Trade Port’s customs closure. Currently, Homart is applying for 16 core products to enter Boao Lecheng in the Hainan Free Trade Port and is pursuing health food (pilot) registrations. These products cover key areas such as sleep management, joint and gout relief, beauty and skincare, eye nutrition, anti-fatigue, cardiovascular health, antioxidants, and men's health, providing domestic consumers with high-quality health solutions in sync with international standards.
Homart stated that Boao Lecheng provides a critical professional platform for international health products to enter China and serves as an important link for China-Australia health industry cooperation. The group will continue to leverage Australia’s rigorous regulatory system and scientific research advantages, actively share international innovation experiences with Lecheng institutions, and ensure that more high-quality Australian health products benefit Chinese consumers in a more efficient and compliant manner.
