Australian representative pharmaceutical group Homart Group won an interview with People’s Daily

Medical health is Australia’s most competitive industry, while China, as an emerging market, has an increasing demand for health products. Since the implementation of the China-Australia FTA, the Australian health industry has developed rapidly. As a representative of Australian healthcare companies, the 26-year-old Australian pharmaceutical group Homart Group has won an exclusive interview with People’s Daily to share its development story in the Chinese market.


Lynn Yeh, CEO of Homart, said in the interview that Homart’s 2017 annual results has increased 25% compared with 2016, and China’s annual performance rose by more than 60%. Homart not only owns its top ten brands, but also has its own cGMP pharmaceutical factory in Australia. Its top-quality health care products, skin care products and cosmetics produced in Australia are very popular among Chinese consumers. Homart has cooperated closely with China’s four major e-commerce platforms Tmall, JD, Vipshop and Koala. It also has cooperated with offline sales outlets, including a number of Chinese chain channels including Guoda Drugstores and CNSC.

Lynn Yeh emphasized that all the strategic layout of Homart in Chinese due to Homart having confidence in China’s future development. Homart will focus more on the developing China’s health industry, including health education, healthcare products, and aged care services. Homart Group has invested in a health management school in Australia. In the future, Homart Group will also try to introduce Australia’s mature aged care system into Chinese nursing homes to help more Chinese elderly people get good psychological counselling and medical services, and effectively improve their quality of life.

Homart Group was invited to attend Vip.com Sydney Roadshow & Distribution Centre Opening Ceremony which was hosted by VIP.com, China’s third largest e-commerce giant. VIP.com has just opened a 5,400 square meter warehouse in Sydney. This is the first large-scale warehouse exclusively owned by Vip.com in Australia to store quality Australian products and sell them to China. Hillary Wang said that: “In China, Australian products are seen as trustworthy, high-standard, pure and green products, which is why Australia will be our first income source in the next 12 and we expect to provide Chinese consumers with products of 500 million yuan”.
