Homart Group Celebrates 2016 Year of the Monkey Festival Events in Sydney
The Australian government has cordially celebrated the Year of the Monkey with a series of events held in Sydney. On Jan 26th 2016, Australia Day, all sorts of celebrations were held in various parts of Australia. Premier of New South Wales- the Hon. Mike BAIRD, held a grand National Day banquet at the Old Parliament House in Parramatta. This historical building is the oldest surviving public building in Australia, built in 1799, and later renovated and expanded by the governors at the time and Mrs. Macquarie in 1815 and 1816. Homart Group was invited to this event amongst other distinguished guests including Member for Parramatta- Dr. Geoff LEE, Parramatta Lord Mayor- Clr. Paul Garrard, as well as other important Australian officials and business leaders.
The banquet was followed by a series of celebrations such as the Chinese lantern show and other cultural performances. On the eve of Chinese New Year, Homart Group was invited to the 2016 CNY grand dinner held near the Opera House. Premier of New South Wales- the Hon. Mike BAIRD, Consulate-General of PRC Mr Hua Xing Li, Treasurer for NSW Ms Gladys Berejiklian MP, Minister for Multiculturalism Mr John Ajaka MLC, Federal Member Mr Ohilip Ruddock MP, China Unification Assoc. Chairman Mr Xiang Mo Huang were among the dignitaries who attended the function. The night was highlighted with fireworks and the red dressed Opera House.
