The 2013 Kogarah Carnival sponsored by Homart Pharmaceuticals was grandly held at Carss Bush park recently. This grand event was organized by Kogarah City Council and sponsored by Homart Pharmaceuticals and other media institutions. The event started at 11am and finished around 6pm. Due to the tremendous fascinating activities, thousands people from all different suburbs in Sydney have been attracted to participate this event.
As one of the most magnificent festivals at St George area, the Kogarah carnival was composed of a diversified regional shows and cultural performance, which includes: Ethnic instrument performance, Lion dance, Exceptional children dancing&singing performance, The Yellow River chorus and band performance etc. Moreover, Sydney King’s basketball team also performed shooting skills on site, and the “2013 Miss Asia” qualifier again pushed this event to another climax..The gorgeous Asian ladies’ decent and graceful manner also represent Australia Asian women’s unique charisma, which has won a big applause of many Australian guests.
The Sydney Kogarah City Council has attached great importance to this event. The Kogarah Mayor Nicolas Varvaris announced at the conference, he wished to promote Sydney’s harmonious and diversified culture to the Kogarah and other cities’ citizens by this event. There are different Asian cuisine booths displayed at this carnival in order for people to taste, purchase, which has also become a highlight of this event. Also, lots of families brought their kids to enjoy the lively atmosphere and warmth of family, experiencing the cuisine culture among different Asian regions. The whole event was run through by delicious food entirely, ending with a fantastic laser light show around 6pm.
